Students took the Unit 4 quiz and them worked on the conclusion paragraph for the pasta pod activity (see Weds post for a copy).

We reviewed the answers to last night’s HW and then students graphed the Pasta Pod acceleration data.

Students received the last part of the Pasta Pod activity (pastapodconclusionparagraph)where they will write a conclusion. The planning sheet must be completed and handed in with the final paragraph ( typed) on Monday, 2/6.

Homework: Unit 4 Quiz review is due tomorrow ( see yesterday’s post for copy) and Unit 4 Quiz is on Friday, 2/3.

Students reviewed the answers to last nights homework, received their graded pasta pod graphs back, and then took a formative assessment on IV and DV’s.

Homework: None, Quiz on Unit 4 Objectives 1-3 material done to date will be next Friday ( Ch 1 sec 1 material).

Journal: Write a “story” to match the motion displayed on the graph.

Students reviewed the answers to last nights homework. The we completed the review of the answers to yesterday’s activity on interpreting distance and time graphs and matching them to “stories”.

Students then began a class activity to reinforce interpreting distance vs. time graphs.(Sheet 10: describemotiongomotion ).

Homework: Finish graphing of data collected in class (graph on sheet 10).

Journal: Look at the screen. Match the graph to the correct story.

Students handed in their graph of the class pasta pod data – it is a graded assignment. We then went over notes on how to interpret distance vs. time graphs notes interpreting distance vs time graph and then did an activity to apply the notes by matching stories to graphs.

Students reviewed last nights homework cmt2answers. They then finished and reviewed the distance vs time graph for their individual pasta pod cars.

Homework: Finish distance vs. time graph for the average distance and average time data for every past pod car in the class. This will be collected and graded.

Students continued work on graphing their pasta pod distance and time individual and class data.
